Journaling is a tool that will help you to pour out your heart to God and release unhealthy emotions in a safe place. As you do, God may give you insight into the circumstances that you are dealing with.
Many people are afraid to do this because they fear that someone may read their journals. Do not allow this concern to prevent you from experiencing the benefits that you will gain.
Here are a few suggestions to help you alleviate this fear.
1. Hide your journal in a safe place
2. If something is too personal rip it out
3. Use white out or a black marker to blot out names or circumstances
This works so well, that sometimes when I go back to my journals I do not even remember what the problem was. But God used my journal to bring healing to my heart.
4. Use a software program with a password
Do not allow unhealthy emotions to fill your heart any longer. Come before the Lord today with an unveiled face. Look into His glory and allow Him to transform you.
But *we* all, looking on the glory of the Lord, with unveiled face, are transformed according to the same image from glory to glory, even as by [the] Lord [the] Spirit. 2 Corinthians 3:18 (Darby Translation)
