Are you having a difficult time journaling? If it has been a while since you wrote, don’t beat yourself up. It happens to all of us as we go through the different seasons of our lives. There are times when trials become so heavy that I feel frozen when it comes to journaling. Then I simply call out to God for help. He is always there!
At other times all you need is a little encouragement to get started again.
Just remember that Journaling does not have to be “one more thing to do.” YOU are in control of when you journal. Write in your journal when you need to, not because you have to.
We all are so busy; at other times we just feel out of sorts. Writing your thoughts out to God will help you to sort out what is going on in your life. I have found that journaling gives me clarity of vision. When I take time to write to God, I see things more clearly and God reveals things to my heart that I haven’t seen before. God already knows everything about you and He is just waiting to give you His input, His peace and strength, and to bring joy into your circumstances.
If you are too busy for God, then you are just TOO busy! Start by journaling for 10 minutes. If you don’t plan what you want to accomplish each day, your life and future will simply be an accident ruled by your circumstances. God wants to reveal His plan for your life. Spend time with Him so that He can direct your path.
Listen to King David:
“O LORD, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my every thought when far away. You chart the path ahead of me and tell me where to stop and rest. Every moment you know where I am. You know what I am going to say even before I say it, LORD. You both precede and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to know!” (Psalm 139:1-6 NLT)
“You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.” (Psalm 139:16 NLT)
King David said,
“UNTO YOU, O Lord, do I bring my life.” (Psalm 25:1 AMP)
Let’s follow King David’s example and bring our lives before God so that He can lead in the way that He wants us to go.
